Visit the most famous Shiva temples in India and pray for attaining blessings of Lord Shiva in the month of Sawan. Come to Jal Abhishek with friends and family.

On this Holy month of Sawan (Sravana), pay a visit to the most famous Shiva temples of India, which are very well known for worshipping Lord Shiva by the Devotees for prosperity and success in life. Sawan is the fifth month as per Hindu Calendar dedicated to Lord Shiva as well as Goddess Parvati.

According to legends, Lord Shiva drank venom to save the world during the time of Samudra Manthan and Goddess Parvati helped him to hold the venom in his neck, as a gesture of gratitude devotees of lord Shiva celebrate this by offering milk to Lord Shiva and fasting.

In the month of Sawan, there is more outbreak of germs and bacteria, due to which the grass of the environment also get toxic and whenever it is consumed by animals the toxic elements go directly into their stomach, and contaminates the blood of the animals, due to which the milk produced by them can affect your health, if you consume it. Therefore, we do not consume milk during Sawan but offers it to Lord Shiva as gratitude.

This did seem like an excellent scientific solution to avoid getting people sick in old times. With modern-day technologies, it is no longer same as the old days. Offering milk to Lord Shiva, these days is to continue and forward Hindu traditions.
