Vishwakarma is the creator of the world. He constructed Krishna ruled the holy city of Dwarka, Maya Sabha of the Pandavas, also the creator of many fabulous weapons for the gods.
In the Rig Veda, he is called the divine carpenter and is credited with Sthapatya Veda, the science of mechanics and architecture.
Generally, it is celebrated on shop floors in factories, industries, and workshops. Engineers, the Architectural community, Artisans, craftsmen, mechanics, smiths, welders, industrial workers, factory workers, and others marked the warship day.
Devotees pray for a better future, safe working conditions, success in their respective fields, smooth functioning of their machines and tools.
Generally, craftsmen worship their tools, refraining from using the tools while doing so. For smooth functioning of modern electronics gadgets and servers, they are also worshiped. Pictures or statues of Vishwakarma are installed and worshiped.
All workers assembled in one common place and prays for the wellness of the factory.
Generally, it is celebrated on 17th September every year. Also, it is celebrated a day after Diwali.
