Paripally Gajamela Festival is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali, fifty Nettipattam covered Elephants majestically paraded to give tribute at the time of Paripally Gajamela festival which is part of the yearly festival of Kodimoottil Sree Bhagavathy temple.
On the occasion of the festival different cultural programs are staged in the temple complex for the entertainment of devotees. On the final day of the 10-day festival, elephants are paraded by head off towards Kodimoottil Sree Bhagavathy temple.
The festival is held every March and devotees and other tourists get an opportunity to immerse themselves in the colorful and lively Gajamela festival.
The festival venue is Kodimoottil Sree Bhagavathy temple, Paripally, district Kollam, Kerala.
